We point out in other areas of this site how important it is to look for underlying conflicts of interest whenever information sources are being scrutinized. So, to set the record straight, Veremedy, LLC is a for-profit company. It is our full intent to make money telling people the truth about all of their smart options for pet care. By facilitating the processes involved with informed consent, and evidence-based medicine, we truly believe pets receive better medical care, and pet owners sleep better knowing that they are more comfortable with their pet care decisions. For helping with this process, we hope to run a profitable company that takes care of its employees, its community, and the owners.
At this time, our website has no underwriters, advertisers or sponsors. However, if anyone at L.L. BeanÒ is reading this, Dr. Burrington could use a couple pair of jeans, a chamois shirt, and some muck boots. Any sponsorship that may occur in the future will be fully disclosed.
We have two locations in the Upper Valley where pets and their people can seek out the best in veterinary health care. Our central location in White River Junction is conveniently located just off exit 12 on I-91. We have been practicing in this location since 2002, and as of 2010, we have seen over 5000 new clients. The growth has necessitated that we do a large addition to our building. They all tell us that their friends, neighbors and family members have recommend that they come to us to experience the Veremedy Way.
Our other location, in Woodstock, Vermont, is where the origins of the Veremedy Way began. In 1992 the Burrington's purchased the Woodstock Veterinary Clinic from Dr. and Mrs. Jim Roberts. After selling the practice in 2000, Veremedy bought the practice back in 2008.
What is the Veremedy Way? It is a philosophy of practice that combines the best aspects of evidence-based medicine with an understanding of the importance of informing pet owners of all options to care for pet medical problems. Our approach recognizes that each case and each pet owner is unique. So, the Veremedy Way provides a way to customize every treatment plan we make.
- Ascertain the medical needs of the patient.
- Determine the philosophy and values of the pet owner including the way they approach and manage risk.
- Using the best medical information available, outline smart medical options for managing the case, including alternative plans and the pros and cons of each approach.
- Deliver expert care with compassion towards both the pet and the pet's owner.
It may take a little more time to do things our way, but we think it is worth it. To learn more about our services, our staff, or to set up an appointment, click on the links located to the right.
