About Veremedy
Veremedy, LLC is a veterinary medical information and services company located in Vermont. Both the information and the services have historically been delivered in our pet hospitals. However, as our company grows, we see opportunities to do what we do best in many different ways. Whether we communicate with dedicated pet owners in our hospital, at one of our clinics, online, or at the pharmacy, our approach is the same; we make sure pet owners get trusted and accurate information, and we give unsurpassed compassionate medical care to pets.
FOUNDER
Dr. Brad Burrington is a graduate of the veterinary school at Cornell University. Dr Burrington has worked as a caregiver for both small and large animals, but most of his career has been spent building veterinary health-care teams that share Dr. Burrington’s drive for being the very best. For a time he worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of drug safety. He is passionate about the importance of making sound medical decisions by utilizing the best medical research that is available. He is equally passionate about making sure that pet owners get all of the facts they need to make an informed decision about their pets’ health care.
Occasionally, Dr. Burrington’s zeal for analyzing data and medical conundrums can make him appear like an aloof scientist rather than a warm veterinarian. Still, most pets and their people agree that his passionate approach to creating unsurpassed pet health-care teams makes a trip to one of his hospitals a very worthwhile idea.
HISTORY
Veremedy, LLC began as a concept in Dr. Brad Burrington’s mind during the dot.com craze of the late 20th century. Supplying pet owners with trusted and accurate medical information had driven the success of the first veterinary practice that Dr. Burrington owned. It is often frustrating to have to deal with the misinformation that is propagated in any industry and veterinary medicine has more than its share of misinformation. The Internet looked like the perfect way to get accurate information to pet owners. As it turned out, the Internet is also a place to find incredibly bad information.
Historically, both the information and the medical care services have been delivered in our veterinary hospitals in White River Junction and Woodstock, Vermont. The current central location in White River Junction, Vermont served as a small veterinary clinic with one veterinarian and a few support staff from 1978 until 2002 when Vermedy took over the clinic. When Veremedy acquired the location, Dr. Burrington went to work transforming the facility into a premier location for pet health care. New state-of-the-art equipment is added regularly.
